Traffic of the Stage presented Marcus Gilbert, Diane Hart, Claire King, Joseph Peters and Deborah Shipley in The Pleasure Principle, a new play by John Cooper, directed by Tom Leatherbarrow at the New End Theatre, Hampstead, London, January 17th - February 12th 1989, Tuesday to Sunday at 8 p.m. Ticket prices £6, concessions and group bookings £4. Friday and Saturday £6.50 no concessions.

An ingenuous and sensitive young man, new to London, discovers that the glamorous, older woman who shows a personal and intimate interest in him is not as spontaneous or as truthful as she appears. Unfortunately this discovery comes too late; or does it?
