Hi, I'm from New Zealand and am glad to have found your site as there seem to be not many site dedicated to Marcus the actor himself. I admit I've never heard of Marcus Gilbert before. Two weeks ago I purchased a boxed set of DVDs by Barbara Cartland. One of the DVD was "A Hazard of Hearts". I loved the movie and I've been watching it every night since! I couldn't believe there could be a man as gorgeous and as handsome as Marcus Gilbert! His good looks is almost unbelievable.. I was a big fan of Mr. Darcy, but Mr. Darcy now takes second place for me Please give my regards to Marcus Gilbert if you happen to communicate with him.

As far as I can tell from his Spotlight photos, Marcus' natural colour is brown. I have asked him and am waiting for him to confirm this. Meanwhile, check out the Photos section for some gorgeous shots of him.

Rosamund, the last I heard from Marcus was that he will probably be out of the country at the end of March. He is hoping to be filming overseas at that time. More details as I have them.

Thanks Rosamund, the postage is a bit steep to the UK. I'm sure three sheets of paper don't really cost $10 to mail from the USA! rolleyes The postage makes it coppers short of $20 which is a bit OTT I think.

Interesting question, Rosamund. That would be down to Marcus himself. I'm not sure that we would have access to any more info - I am in touch with him anyhow and he does send me updates at intervals. He is busy working though, so possibly does not have the spare time to spend on the site.

Marcus seems to have been working all over the place recently. Last year he was filming in Australia and up Kilimanjaro, and then in England for a small part in the UK film Freebird. This year he hopes to be filming in more exotic places. I'll release more details as they are confirmed. Watch this space!

How funny! Marcus was one of my flat mates in the 80's. I remember he was really lovely and told ace ghost stories (he frightened the life out of us one night). He was kind, with a dry sense of humour and I am really pleased that he has done so well

It has been years that I have been searching for files of this wonderful handsome actor Marcus Gilbert. I fell in love with the film Hazard of Hearts to which he played the role of Lord Vulcan, and I was just 14 years old then..and now I am 31 years old still I could not forget him! I've been looking for information about MG for a very long time, ever since I saw "Hazard of Hearts" in 1994, when I was in high school, just before my graduation. I don't know for sure how old Marcus is, but based on his working life I would guess mid-40's. I have asked if he will provide us with some basic biographical info for the site and am waiting to hear back from him. Keep watching and reading. wink

I'd just like to say thank you thank you thank you for setting up this site. Love Barbara Cartlands books and Hazard of Hearts and Ghost in Monte Carlo were the first two movies of hers that I saw and fell in love with the gorgeous Marcus. Also wondered what had happened to him and could never find much on him on the net so this is fantastic. Will keep this one a favourite so i can come and drool occassionally
